Among Father Michael’s interests are cooking, skiing, hill walking, travel and languages. He has studied French and Japanese and is currently learning Italian, although he admits to not being very good at any of them!  Father Michael has always been a keen member of the Scout Association and is currently Chaplain to the Hayes and Harlington District Scouts.

Curate

Update 11th April 2023:  It is with tremendous sadness that we have to announce that Mother Helen sadly died on the 10th of April 2023.  We hold her husband Jonathan and her family in our prayers.

Mother Helen spent most of her working life as a community mental health nurse, retiring in 2016.  She attended St John the Baptist, Pinner with her family for 25 years.  In 2013 she was licensed as a lay minister (Reader) after training at St Mellitus College, London.  In 2018, she returned to St Mellitus and completed two years ordination training.  She started her curacy as a Lay Minister at St Edmunds in July 2020 and was ordained Deacon in September of that year.

In her free time, Mother Helen enjoyed seeing her two adult children, daughter-in-law and grandson.  She also enjoyed trips into London with her husband to visit art galleries, listening to classical music and watching dramas on television.
